The Punjab government is working on a comprehensive transformation plan that aims to enhance agricultural development in the Butuhar region.

The Agricultural Secretary, Punjab, Evikhar Ali Saho, explained the plan during a special meeting at the Commissioner’s Office in Rawalbende.

The meeting focused on the current situation of wheat and other crops, taking into account the ongoing weather conditions. Among the main participants was the engineer of the department commissioner Rawalbandi Mohamed Amir Khattak, Deputy Commissioner (Revenue), Rawalbandy Nabil Sindu, along with the representatives of the Commissioners from Atuk, Chakwal, Gilum, and Morey, who joined the discussion via the video link.

Agricultural Secretary Sahoo confirmed that the plan will include general actors and stakeholders to develop it. He highlighted that the total cultivation of arable land in the Rawalbandi section exceeds 2.5 million acres, with more than 1.5 million acres allocated to wheat transplantation this year.

He pointed out that, regardless of a small part, the condition of the wheat in the division is satisfactory.
