Islamabad: OGRA has proposed a decrease in gasoline prices for the next review period, with a recommendation of a decrease of 2.49 rupees per liter. The move comes after crude oil prices drop in the international market, as the government seeks to reduce the financial burden on consumers.

If the proposal is approved by the federal government, the price of gasoline will decrease from 254.64 rupees to 257.13 rupees per liter. Along with gasoline, high -speed diesel (HSD) will see a reduction of 9.11 rupees, which decreases to 258.84 rupees from 267.85 rupees per liter.

In addition, the prices of kerosene oil and light diesel are scheduled to decrease by 3.45 rupees and 5.60 rupees per liter, respectively.

This proposed reduction comes after an increase in prices for gasoline and high -speed diesel that entered on February 1. At that time, the HSD price rose by RS7, from 260.95 rupees to 267.95 rupees, and gasoline saw an increase in RS1, the transition from RS256.13 to RS257.13 per liter.
