Lahore: The Punjab government provides efforts to simplify the distribution of minority cards and vital verification as part of its commitment to transparency and service efficiency.
The provincial minority minister, Ramish Singh Arra, chaired a guiding committee meeting to review the progress made in verifying the demand, distributing minority cards and implementing the biological verification system (BVS).
The meeting brought together the main stakeholders, including the DCS Commissioner (DCS) from all over Punjab, representatives of the Punjab IT (PitB), Punjab Bank, and the Ministry of Social Welfare. Officials discussed strategies to enhance coordination, address verification challenges, and ensure a smooth impact from BVS to improve service accuracy.
Minister Aroura praised Punjab Prime Minister Maryam Nawaz for her leadership and commitment to enabling minorities. He stressed that the government is still focusing on ensuring transparency and efficiency in the initiative, and reaffirming its dedication to enhancing access and supporting minority societies.
