Islamabad: Finance Minister Mohamed Oranquit confirmed that the mission of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) will arrive in Pakistan on February 24 to negotiate a $ 1 to $ 1.5 billion of climate financing.

In his speech before the retail business council on Thursday, the Minister of Finance also stated that the mission of the second International Monetary Fund is scheduled for March, which will conduct a six -month comprehensive review of the ongoing program.

Aurangzeb reassured the public that all aspects of the International Monetary Fund program are advancing as planned.

He also discussed the country’s current economic situation, noting that although the current account deficit became negative for one month, it remained positive during the seven -month period. The minister stressed the importance of cautious economic growth to avoid the prosperity and sparkling cycle, stressing that structural reforms are the key to stabilizing and improving the economic framework of Pakistan.
