IslamabadThe government announced plans to create sugar stalls at the municipal level to provide sugar at a rate supported of 130 rupees per kilogram throughout Ramadan, according to a statement from the Ministry of Industries and Production on Friday.
Rana Tanfir Hussein, a meeting chaired by the Federal Minister of Industries and Production, discussed strategies to ensure sugar, maintaining prices, and providing relief to the public during Ramadan.
In an attempt to make sugar easier for the public, it was decided that these stalls be created across different regions, with 230 booths in the bond, 405 in Khyber Bakhtongua, and many stalls planned for Punjab and Baluchistan. The provincial governments will be responsible for ensuring security, hygiene and crowd management in these sites.
This initiative aims to reduce prices and condensation, and to ensure sugar at reasonable prices for everyone. In addition, a special committee will be formed to address any issues that arise immediately. The government will closely monitor the implementation of this project to ensure its success.
To ensure that the sugar supply chain remains, the Sugar Mills Association in PCMA and the provinces of the provinces have been urged to cooperate in full. Special security measures will be in place to ensure smooth transport and distribution of sugar in Balochistan and Khebar Bakhtongua.
