Islamabad: Pakistan expands the energy infrastructure with a railway project linking the coal mines in Thar to Port Qasim by December 2025 and nearly $ 500 million. The battery storage initiative is 1000 megawatts in the south to harness wind power and install the network.

Talks with global lenders are continuing to secure fund financing.

The Energy Department told Fakar Allam Ervan, a parliamentary committee that it works on the railway that connects the coal mines in Port Qassem, and it will be completed by December 2025. The 105 km length rail network, which is supervised by federal and rally governments, aims to enhance energy security by reducing the link to expensive fuel imports.

The government is discussing a battery storage project with the World Bank, the Asian Development Bank and the Islamic Development Bank. The initiative is expected to improve the stability of the energy network and improve the use of renewable energy.

In the revival of the Standing Committee of the National Authority for Authority, Fakhara Allam said that the ministry is seeking to obtain 79 billion rupees in the Public Sector Development Program (PSDP) 2025-26 for four main projects. This includes a battery storage initiative, which is 1,000 megawatts, three-airlines-Hazi Barthia, the three and south, and Crachi to the center of Punjab.
