KarachiThe lost wheel from the Pakistani International Airlines flight (PIA) was located near the remote parking area at a wing airport in Karachi, as confirmed by the Pakistani Aviation Authority (PAA).
The accident appeared when it was reported that one of the six wheels of the main landing equipment was lost during the trip from Karachi to Lahore.
A PIA spokesman confirmed that the trip left Karachi and landed safely in Lahore as planned, but when inspection, he discovered that one of the rear wheels in the main landing equipment was missing.
According to Paa, the technicians from the airport wheel store found lost tires near the Boeing 777 landing equipment. The authority also made it clear that no injuries or damage caused by the lost wheel were reported.
“The Pakistani Aviation Authority confirms that there were no losses or damage to property related to separating the wheel. This incident was under investigation by the relevant authorities.
