Mari Energies Limited has announced a second discovery of gas and condensate in the Spinwam-1 well in Waziristan Building, Khyber Bakhtongua, which increased the strengthening of local energy reserves in Pakistan.
The company, which runs the mass with a 55 % work interest, confirmed that the discovery was made in the formation of Kawagarh, after a previous discovery in the formation of Samanasuk.
According to the Mari Energies notification of PSX, Spinwam-1 WELL produced 20.485 million standard cubic feet per day (MMSCFD) of gas and 117 barrels per day (BPD) of capacitors, with the pressure of the well of the well 3431 pounds per square inch (PSIG) using 32/64 inches. The company stated that further evaluation is made to assess the full capabilities of the well and other targeted configurations.
This discovery is expected to contribute significantly to the production of indigenous energy in Pakistan, which reduces dependence on imported fuel sources.
After announcing the discovery of the second gas and condensate in Mari Energies Limited in Spinam -1 in the Waziristan building, the company’s share price increased by 7.32 %, reflecting the strong investor confidence. As of 1:39 pm on March 17, 2025, Mari Energies shares were traded at 649.98 rupees, an increase of 44.32 rupees from the previous session.
Mari Energies runs the Waziristan mass along with Limited (OGDCL) and Orient Petroleum Inc. , Which possess 35 % and 10 % of the working departments, respectively.
