In Faisal Abad, the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) arrested three customs officials and a partner for primary bribes from a passenger at Faisal Abad International Airport.
According to the reports, the arrests followed a complaint filed by Maochi Abbas, residing in Jhang Sadar, who claimed that customs officers had bothered her upon arrival at the airport on February 1, 2024.
According to the complaint, Abbas was forced to pay 400,000 rupees in bribes to carry two iPhone 15 devices.
Among the detained individuals are Hassan Jalil (customs inspector), Motta Mouumaz (Inspector Customs), Elahi (Customs Pepoy), and Mohamed Hasib (partner).
The case, which was determined in the name of First No., was submitted 102/2025, according to Article 161 of the Pakistani Penal Code (PPC) and Article 5 (2) of the Corruption Prevention Law (PCA).
Continuous investigations are conducted, and FIA called on the public to report any similar incidents of corruption or misconduct.
