Lahore: The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) closed, in coordination with the local administration, LNG manufacturing units (LPG) near Lahore during the joint safety inspections conducted in March 2025.
According to a press release issued on Tuesday, OGRA officials and the region searched three ELITE Metal Tek (PVT.) Ltd. Hi-Tek Manufacturing (PVT.) Ltd. , And Service Metal Engineering Services Ltd.-on the outskirts of the city.
Inspection teams reported violations of technical and safety standards, including the huge manufacture of LPG Bowzers and the absence of basic safety systems. The unlicensed BowZers was also found on the site, with operations without mandatory registration from the Deputy Commissioner and Civil Defense authorities.
The Hi-Tek manufacturing and unique mineral engineering services have closed due to serious violations, while Ogra announced that it will start regulatory procedures that could include canceling non-compatible entities licenses.
In reaffirming the zero tolerance policy, Ogra said that sudden inspections worldwide will continue to impose safety standards in the manufacture of LPG equipment.
