The Governor of Bank of Japan, Kazo Oda, expressed concern on Monday due to the increasing uncertainty in both global and local economies, is largely driven by the US tariff policies.
Speaking to the Japanese Parliament, UEDA warned that American definitions could exert down pressure on both global and Japanese economies through multiple channels.
He stressed that the Bank of Japan (BOJ) will continue to control its monetary policy as necessary, with the primary focus on achieving the goal of inflation by 2 %. UEDA highlighted that the central bank will carefully monitor economic developments, price and financial, which ensures that there are no prior perceptions of its decisions.
