CECAMON has gained international sales global rights for the documentary film recorded by Gaza, “Put your soul on your hand and walk”, directed by the Iranian -French director who will be bored by Fepers.
The documentary is scheduled to make the first international show in the acid program at the Cannes Film Festival next month.
This feature provides an intimate and direct look at life under siege in Gaza through video calls between the Persian and the pictures of the Palestinian Palestinian photographer Fatima Hasuna. At a tragic turning point for events, Hasuna was killed in an Israeli missile strike at her home just one day after the announcement of the choice of the Cannes Festival.
Through raw shots and personal certificates, you document “put your soul on your hand and walk” daily life during the conflict through the perspective of a besieged generation in what filmmakers describe as an endless war cycle.
“We were deeply affected by the courage and unusual flexibility that was taken in this movie,” said Sebastian Chesino, a partner in CERCAMON. “Sepideh Farsi is not only provided a window to Gaza, but also provides deep testimonies for hope, dignity and human spirit in the darkest moments of life. We are honored to represent this basic and urgent documentary film and bring the voice of the deadly to the public around the world.”
The Persian, whose previous works include “warning sirens” (Berlinali), “Reed Reed” (Tif) and “Tehran without permission” (Locarno), described the emergence of the project: “I was born from my urgent need to know what is a miracle in Gaza.
“The film is a honor for it, and for all civilians trapped by the war, but they refuse to give up their dreams. I am very happy to cooperate with CERCAMON to share the Fatem story on a large scale and meaning.”
“Put your soul on your hand and walk” produced by Rêves d’ue productions in joint production with 24 images. The documentary combines a personal certificate, the shots in the actual time and the poetic reflection to capture life amid destruction.
