Karachi: The National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA) on Friday raised the price of electricity for K-Electric consumers by Rs 3.03 per unit.
This price hike is due to the monthly fuel price adjustment in July 2024, NEPRA said.
Notice of implementation of this increase has been issued to K-Electric consumers.
The additional amount will be collected from K-Electric consumers in December 2024 bills, as mentioned in the notification.
K-Electric sought an increase of Rs 3.09 per unit under the July monthly adjustment.
NEPRA on Thursday announced a reduction of 86 paise per unit of electricity, according to the notification issued by NEPRA.
The reduction is based on the monthly fuel adjustment for August and will provide electricity consumers relief on their October bills.
